Statement of Faith
(ADOPTED AS A MINISTRY EXTENSION OF LOVE’S WAY CHURCH)
1) We believe that the bible is the inspired, infallible word of God and is used as our guide in doctrine, life, and our works. (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21)
2) We believe that God is one but manifested in three persons, the father, the son, and the holy spirit. (Philippians 2:6; John 14:28; 16:28; 1:14; 1:1, 1:18, 1:14; John 15: 26)
3) We believe that man is a sinner and in need of a savior and redeemed by the work of the cross. (Romans 5:14; 3:10; 3:23; 1 John 3:8; Ephesians 2:8)
4) We believe in eternal life and new birth is the result of repentance and choosing a relationship with Christ that is reflected in the way one lives. (2 Corinthians 7:10; 1 John 5:12; John 3:3-5)
5) We believe in God’s definition of marriage as defined by the word of God, between one natural born man and one natural born woman, whose gender is assigned by God and not altered by man. (Genesis 1:27-28; 2:18-24; Matthew 19: 4-9; Mark 10:5-9; Ephesians 5:31-33)
6) We believe in Water Baptism as taught in the word of God, for the cleansing of sin. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6;4; Colossians 2:12; acts 8:36-39)
7) We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a gift from God and accompanied by evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. (Matthew 3:11; John 14:16, 17; Acts 1:8; 2:38, 39; 19:1-7; 2:4)
8) We believe in Sanctification as taught in the Word, that without Holiness no man can see the Lord. (Hebrews 12:14; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; 2 Peter 3:18; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Philippians 3:12-14; 1 Corinthians 1:30)
9) We believe in divine healing by the power of God through the prayer of Faith and laying on of hands. (Mark 16:18; James 5:14-25; 1 Peter 2:24; Matthew 8:17; Isaiah 53:4,5; Psalms 103:3)
10) We believe in the Resurrection of the Just and the Return of the Lord. (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17; Revelation 20:6)
11) We believe there is a Hell and in Eternal Retribution for the life that does not accept the Lord as Savior. (Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 19:20)
